What We Treat

Our dental practice offers a wide range of treatments for issues like bad breath, gum disease, and more. While many procedures are standard across offices, each patient is unique, and we focus on personalized care.We begin with a comprehensive oral exam to catch problems early and create a tailored treatment plan. Our goal is to help you understand your dental health and how we can support it.

Teeth grinding (bruxism) involves excessive clenching or grinding of the teeth, often at night but sometimes during the day. Common symptoms include jaw pain, headaches, and tooth sensitivity.

If untreated, it can lead to tooth wear, cracks, or damage to existing dental work. We recommend starting with a night guard. If symptoms persist, please schedule an appointment to prevent further oral health issues.

Bad breath, or halitosis, can result from dental problems, infections, dry mouth, or smoking. It’s often caused by bacteria between teeth, so maintaining good oral hygiene with daily brushing, flossing, and mouthwash is key.

If the issue persists, we recommend booking an appointment to find the underlying cause.

Malocclusions—such as crowding, crossbite, overbite, underbite, and open bite—are misalignments often caused by genetics, prolonged pacifier use, jaw injuries, impacted teeth, or poor dental care.

Treatments include braces, tooth removal, jaw surgery, or stabilization with wires.

Bleeding gums are often a sign of gum disease but can also result from aggressive brushing or ill-fitting dentures. Most cases are caused by plaque buildup from bacteria, which can harden into tartar and irritate the gums, leading to gingivitis or periodontitis.

Cavities are decayed areas of teeth caused by plaque buildup from bacteria, saliva, and food particles. They start small and often painless, but can worsen if untreated. Regular dental visits and digital X-rays help detect them early.

Cold sores are small blisters near the mouth caused by the herpes simplex virus. While some carriers show no symptoms, outbreaks can be triggered by stress or a weak immune system. Symptoms include burning, red blisters, fever, and muscle aches.

Gum disease is branched from gingivitis, which is an inflammation of our gums. This commonly happens due to poor oral hygiene and results in swollen gums and bleeding when brushing or flossing. However, as gingivitis becomes gum disease, also known as periodontitis, your gums may become swollen, red, and lead to recession.

Gum recession occurs when gums pull away from the teeth, exposing the roots. It’s often caused by periodontal disease, aggressive brushing, plaque, hormonal changes, or genetics.

Oral cancer starts with the cells in our mouths, which slowly become a tumor as cells group together and destroy tissue. It looks like a small sore, but it does not go away, which should cause suspicion. It can develop on multiple areas around our mouths, such as the lips, gums, tongue, inner cheeks, roof of the mouth, or under the tongue.

A healthy smile is at the top of all our lists. However, as time goes on, you may notice that your teeth start to become stained. Stained teeth are caused by lifestyle habits such as what we eat and drink, poor dental hygiene, medications, and our natural age.

Tooth sensitivity can be uncomfortable. If you experience tooth sensitivity when you eat or drink hot or cold items, this can be a sign of cavities or root exposure. This should be checked by your family dentist at your next dental appointment.
