Dry Mouth: Small Symptom, Big Impact!
Dry mouth, also known as xerostomia, occurs when your mouth doesn't produce enough saliva. It can cause difficulty speaking, chewing, and swallowing, as well as increase the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.
Quick Tips for a Healthier Smile
- Drink water regularly throughout the day.
- Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste.
- Try sugar-free gum to stimulate saliva production.
- Limit caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco.
- Talk to your dentist if dry mouth persists.
Remember
Saliva plays an important role in protecting your teeth and keeping your mouth healthy. Don't ignore persistent dry mouth. Your smile depends on it!
